Racing Go Kart Parts:
Tips Used racing go karts and/or parts sell for about half of the new price. If the price is almost the new price, chances are the go kart was hardly or not raced at all. You can always ask the seller about the kart’s condition. You can also request pictures from various angles of the go kart so you can view all of its sides and determine how it was treated.
After taking a look at the “look” of the go kart, check that the axle does has minimal or no rust. Also, spin the tires to check that the axle is not bent. While the axle is rotating, if you can hear the bearings, that means you’ll need to change them pretty soon. Turn the kart over and check the kart’s underside.
If the frame has a lot of scratches or damage, it probably means the kart has been raced quite a bit. Be careful: even though the frame may not look like it has a lot of scratches, it may be that the frame was painted over. If you’re considering a racing go kart from a seller other than an authorized dealer, try to test ride the go kart so you can better determine the motor’s condition.
Sometimes, regular spark plug replacement can fix a problem in starting or getting your go kart running properly. Also, determine if the go kart’s extra parts are beneficial or would only take up space. Wheels, gears, a starter, and kart stand are useful to you. On the other hand, old gears and chains are unnecessary racing go kart parts.
